BALA youngsters are working hard to help better their community.

Members of Bala Youth Club are working hard to obtain their Youth Achievement Bronze Award, a recognition of their doing their bit to help the town.

As part of this, 11 members took part in a litter-picking exercise around Llyn Tegid and a circular walk around the Town on Wednesday, 24 May.

The 11 youths ensured the pathways were clear.

They were assisted on the day by youth club leaders Myfyr Jones and Lisa Williams, as well as National Park warden Arwel Morris.

The club has a series of other planned events, including a visit to the local ice-cream shop, a nature walk, a trip to the RNLI Station in Barmouth, visiting the fire station and a planned visit by the North Wales Police Traffic Division.
