A bird hide has been deliberately set on fire and an investigation has been launched.

The North Wales Police Rural Crime Team and the RSPB are appealing for information about the fire.

“The ‘Foryd’ bird hide in Saron, overlooking Dinas Dinlle, was significantly damaged in the fire, which officers are treating as arson,” a Rural Crime Team spokesperson said.

“The incident is understood to have taken place sometime between Sunday, 5 September and Sunday, 12 September.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with information, is asked to contact police on 101, or via the website, using reference Z135264.”
