A CEFNLLWYD man who has admitted sexually assaulting a young girl and encouraging her to carry out acts of gross indecency will be sentenced at Swansea Crown Court after pleading guilty to 10 charges.

Robert Vincent, 57, of Gwynfa, Cefnllwyd, pleaded guilty to five charges of indecent assault and five charges of inciting gross indecency.

Magistrates heard that all 10 of the offences were against the same girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and involved serious indecent assaults.

Prosecutor Ellie Morgan said the case was too serious for Vincent to be sentenced at magistrates’ court and asked magistrates to send Vincent to the crown court to be sentenced.

Defence solicitor Alison Mathias agreed that sentencing should take place in the crown court.

Vincent was released on conditional bail until a sentencing hearing on 26 August.
