A TYWYN town councillor and former firefighter has raised concerns that resident’s lives could be in danger if new warning lights are not installed near the new fire station (pictured).
The new station, due to open within the next few weeks, is situated in the industrial state near the Huws Gray Depot and Cllr Mark Kendall is concerned emergency vehicles will struggle to get on to the main road in the event of a fire due to high volumes of traffic.
“I was a firefighter myself for many years so I know how important every second can be when reacting to an emergency,” he said.
“I’m concerned emergency vehicles might get stuck on the junction as the main road can get very busy, especially in the summer."
