A MAN has escaped serious injury after being hit by a car in Aberystwyth.

Police and emergency services were called on Wednesday, 2 November at around 4.15pm after a 23-year-old man was struck by a silver car at the junction near CK’s supermarket and the Aberystwyth University entrance in Waunfawr.

Despite smashing the passenger side of the car’s windscreen, the man escaped serious injury, police said. He was treated at the scene by paramedics.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to a road traffic collision involving one car and a pedestrian at 4.15pm on Wednesday, 2 November. No serious injuries were sustained.”
