NORTH Wales Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision that left a 93-year-old man with life-threatening injuries earlier this week.

The one vehicle collision on Monday, 2 August left a 93-year-old man with serious injuries and has led North Wales Police to issue an appeal for information.

A police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witnesses to a collision which has left an elderly male with serious injuries.

"Shortly before 11am on Monday, 2 August a one-vehicle collision occurred on the A493 in Llanegryn, Gwynedd which involved a red coloured VW UP colliding with a wall.

"The 93-year-old driver was taken to Ysbyty Bronglais in Aberystwyth but has since been transferred to hospital in Cardiff with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries."

Sergeant Liam Ho is appealing for witnesses.

He said: “We are urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or anybody who may have been travelling along the A493 in Llanegryn and who may have dash cam footage, to contact us immediately.”

The spokesperson added: "Enquiries are underway and anybody with information that could assist with the investigation is urged to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit via the website or via 101 by quoting reference number 21000537275."
