Two people suffered serious injuries following a one-vehicle collision on the A487 at Synod Inn on Monday, police have confirmed.
Officers are appealing for information following the collision which occurred at around 5.30pm yesterday evening.
The A487 was closed for several hours following the collision which saw two people taken by air ambulance to University Hospital Wales, Cardiff, for treatment.
Police say the vehicle involved was a white Renault Traffic van and is believed to have been heading from the direction of Llandysul towards Aberaeron.
A police spokesperson said: "Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for information after a single vehicle road traffic collision occurred on the A487, near Synod Inn, at around 5.30pm on Monday, 3 May in which the two occupants suffered serious injuries.
“Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage that may assist the investigation to contact Dyfed-Powys Police.”
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to the A487 at approximately 5.36pm, Monday, 3 May to reports of a road traffic accident. We attended scene with two rapid response vehicles, two emergency ambulances, our Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service plus two Wales Air Ambulances.
"Two patients were taken by air to University Hospital Wales, Cardiff for treatment."
