BARMOUTH is in uproar after crude drawings and obscenities were spray-painted onto the town’s famous bridge.
Irate councillors have condemned the vandals who defaced the acclaimed landmark with scrawlings and drawings on Sunday evening.
Some local residents have even offered cash rewards of up to £100 for any information which leads to the prosecution of the criminals following an investigation by British Transport Police.

Deputy mayor Phil Hill said the incident had “shocked” Barmouth and hoped the perpetrators would claim responsibility for their actions.
Fellow councillor Katie Price said the damage was “upsetting”.
Speaking on the matter, a spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) said: “An investigation has been launched after we received a report that a section of Barmouth Bridge had been vandalised.”
