ARCHIVISTS at Gwynedd Council have been delving into their vast collection of old photographs to give Timewatch readers a glimpse into life in and around Dolgellau over the past 120 years.
The first image shows a conductor at a flooded Dolgellau train station in 1964 with the line completely submerged.
The second picture is a 19th century photograph of Dolgellau from the north showing the old jail on the right
The third image shows Dafydd Rowlands and George Lewis outside Popty’r Lawnt, Dolgellau.
And the final photo shows Roberts Brothers butchers in Eldon Square. The business is still there today.
