Hollywood star Amanda Seyfried who was spotted in Aberystwyth earlier this week has sparked a money tree mystery on social media.

The Mamma Mia and Mean Girls star has been in Wales to film You Should Have Left alongside Kevin Bacon, which is an adaptation of the tense German thriller by Daniel Kehlmann.

Throughout this week, the actress has been posting images from across Wales on her Instagram page, including her taking in the sights of Harlech Castle and posting two images of Tanybwlch Beach with the hashtags #PRETTYWELSH and #ridiculouslywelsh.

Another picture she has posted - accompanied by the caption ’I want to understand...’ - is of a tree stump covered in embedded coins, which some followers believe is in the Devil’s Bridge area.
