Madam,
I would like to thank O Jean Thomas for responding in last week’s Cambrian News (‘It’s an insult to planners to say they are less than professional’) to my correspondence in a previous issue (‘National Park planning process not fit for purpose’).
Perhaps O Jean Thomas had overlooked my comment on paying £250 for a pre-planning consultation. Surely, had my application been a nightmare to the planners or had there been a conflict over the previous two granted applications, this would have been highlighted then?
Perhaps, also, O Jean Thomas missed my comment on having already made contact with the Ombudsman’s office? However, I shall follow O Jean Thomas’s advice and write to my MP.
Of course we have, amongst others, Mr Lewis’s letter in the 23 August issue of the Cambrian News (‘Planning process is nothing but grief and willy-nilly refusals’), the site of the former St Davids Hotel, the former college tower block and the meagre 27 per cent or so participation in a satisfaction survey to remind us of SNP planning department’s professionalism.
My application was for a simple two-bedroom bungalow with a little over 100m² of floor area.
Yours etc,
K Jones, Harlech.
