AUDITIONS for Aberystwyth Arts Centre’s Christmas show will take place this weekend.

The arts centre is looking for actors to take part in their community production of The Railway Children.

Aberystwyth Arts Centre Community Theatre Company will present a festive and original adaptation of E Nesbit’s classic novel, which follows the adventures of Roberta, Peter and Phyllis from joyous mischief to heroic escapades in the Edwardian Yorkshire countryside.

With a range of wonderful characters, including the surly station-master, Perks, and the mysterious kindly Old Gentleman, at the centre of this heartwarming and compelling story is a tale of family, goodwill and hope against all odds.

This production promises to be a magical delight for all – the perfect start to Christmas!

There will be a warm welcome to children and adults of any experience level.

There is no need to prepare anything prior to the audition, but there may be a small amount of movement and singing work.

The auditions will take place in Rehearsal Room One on Sunday, 9 September; children and young people (age 8-17) from 12pm to 1.30pm, and adults (18+) from 2pm to 3.30pm.
