RNLI stations across Ceredigion are welcoming a photographer as part of his project to visit all 237 lifeboat stations in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Jack Lowe, who is the grandson of Dad’s Army actor Arthur Lowe, is aiming to visit every station and will be taking pictures using a 19th century photography technique which allows him to record images onto glass.
The project is expected to take Jack around five years, and this leg has already seen him visit RNLI stations in New Quay and Cardigan, and he will meet the crew at Aberystwyth today.
Members of Aberystwyth RNLI have said they’re looking forward to welcoming Jack.
Crew member Paul McCann said: “The crew are really looking forward to having Jack visit the station. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of something like this, some crew are cutting their holidays short to ensure they are here.”
