SCORES of motorcyclists passed through Bala last weekend to pay tribute to fallen war heroes.

On Sunday, about 60 members of the Royal British Legion Riders Branch was touring north Wales as part of this year’s Poppy Appeal launch.

Their route started in Wrexham and passed right through North Wales, stopping in Bala to lay a wreath at the town’s War Memorial. Eventually the convoy finished their journey in Llandudno.

Trevor Jones, the local security for Royal British Legion, said: “It was a breathtaking sight to see so many bikes heading through the town, it really was something."
