Madam,

I have been reading the recent letters to Cambrian News and two are replies to my letter with regard to the Llanbedr bypass (Bypass questions need answering and Access road to airfield is the solution).

With regard to the letter headed 'Access road to airfield is the solution', the writer wished to remain anonymous, as he/she has every right to do so and I respect that. But unfortunately in the last sentence the writer states that “....and as far as I am aware Cllr Hughes doesn’t even live here!”

He or she is wrong in stating that, as I am Llanbedr-born and have lived in the valleys above the village for over 50 years. I attended the village school and so did my son, and we still farm in the Cwm Bythan Valley.

I accept that my address at the moment is in Talsarnau, but this does not mean I have no connection to Llanbedr and I feel the writer is giving out the wrong impression to the electors of Llanbedr and I would like to correct this.
