Carnival
BORTH had another successful carnival year despite the poor sum-mer weather that affected several events, especially the family fun day.Luckily, on carnival day the weather was fine and a great day was had by all.The total amount collected was slightly less than the 2014 total. However the carnival committee decided that it could distribute a record £9,423 to 21 organisations.This year, for the first time, dona-tions were made to Leri Dragons Scouts, Borth Arts Club and Borth Golf Club juniors.The cheques were presented to the organisations by Mark Williams MP at a donation night held at the community hall.
Father Christmas
BORTH Carnival Committee has once again invited Father Christmas and his young helpers to make an early visit to Borth.He has agreed to visit, weather permitting, on Tuesday, 15 December.Father Christmas should land on Clarach road at about 5pm and will then hopefully visit most of Borth.
Councillor vacancy
THE COMMUNITY council has given notice that it intends to co-opt one member to fill the vacancy that exists in the office for Councillor for the Borth Community.Further details can be found on the council noticeboards or on the community website.
Church
ON SUNDAY, 13 December, the Sunday School will be performing its Nativity play.The service will start at 11.15am and will be followed by a finger buffet of snacks. All are welcome.
