Letter to the Editor: Patrick Loxdale (Right Field, Cambrian News, 15 February) perpetuates the common misconception that AV is a form of PR. This is not the case, as AV (Alternative Vote)  is not a proportional system. So in the 2011 referendum, voters did not reject PR, as they were never offered the choice in the first place.
