VISITORS are expected to flock to a baaa-rmy new venture in Meirionnydd.

Enterprising 15-year-old Lois Jones, who completed her school exams just a few weeks ago, has launched her new business which offers visitors the chance to wander around Trawsfynydd with new found woolly friends.

Inspired by llama trekking companies, Lois decided to diversify her family’s farm business by leading tours around Trawsfynydd lake with every walker accompanied by a striking Bryniau flock of Zwartbles sheep.

The project is centred around the 150-acre Tyn Drain farm, which is home to the 50-head Bryn Hir herd of pedigree Welsh Black cattle

Lois said: “Everyone I’ve spoke to so far has been impressed and thought it was a bit of fun. The sheep seem happy and the launch has gone well.”
