VOLUNTEERS are being sought to man a temporary tourist information centre in Dolgellau.
The Dolgellau Partnership is looking at setting up a new local information centre (LIC) for visitors and Meirionnydd residents alike to enjoy the town and its surrounding communities.
Town councillor Jo Checkley is one of the driving forces behind the project and she was keen to recruit as many helpers as possible.
“As we are having to wait up to six weeks for a reply from the Charity Commission for their permission to use the Free Library as a temporary home for our local information centre, I’m going to put a stall out outside HSBC with bilingual leaflets, the Snowdonia magazine and bus timetables etc.
“I am now desperate for volunteers as I will not be able to man the stall while my shop is open."
