CANCER charity Marie Curie is appealing for more volunteers across Gwynedd to come forward to donate their time.
Volunteers are a vital part of Marie Curie’s work and without them, the charity says it would not be able to raise the vital funds needed to continue to run its nursing service.
Marie Curie community fundraiser Victoria Hardy said: “Volunteering in your local community is a great way to meet new people and the feeling you get from knowing you are helping such a worthwhile cause is wonderful.
“Right now, Marie Curie are in desperate need of more people to volunteer their time.
“Whether you have a few hours a week, a month, or even just a few hours a year, it all helps.”
There are lots of different ways you can give your time to become involved including, taking part in one of our supermarket collections this December, helping to deliver Marie Curie daffodil boxes and collection tins to local shops and businesses, joining the fundraising team in their office in Rhyl or maybe you’d prefer to join your local volunteer fundraising group. Whatever you’d like to do, they’d love to hear from you on 01745 352910.
The funds raised in the area are used to help Marie Curie Nurses be there for people living with a terminal illness, providing vital, one-to-one nursing care and support in their own homes.
Marie Curie also supports people throughout their illness by providing practical information and guidance to anyone affected by terminal illness including families and carers.
