Madam,
I agree with Steven Smith’s letter concerning the closure of tourist information centres.
They are extremely important for promoting local venues, telling the visitor what they obviously wouldn’t find out. This brings vital revenue for local businesses which they wouldn’t get if people don’t know about them.
Daytrippers filling their time here wouldn’t be told about the many different ways they can be entertained. This does little to promote our tourist industry, and closing toilets also sends a message to people that the area is run down and not worth a visit. We live in a beautiful country that is worth a lot more than this.
Yours etc,
Jean Miles, Harlech.
