Madam,
I write to condemn the plans by Powys County Council to close a recycling centre in Montgomeryshire, and we must all work together to stop this.
The choice will be between Newtown or Welshpool, with the council’s decision-makers forcing the towns to battle it out against each other. Both must stay open, as recycling and waste collection sites are vital for our ability to reduce our effect on the environment, and are an important public service.
I hope to see our MP and our AMs working to stop their closures.
Yours etc,
Jane Dodds, Montgomeryshire Liberal Democrats, Welshpool.
