MORE than 400 people are set to descend on a Pwllheli beach next weekend as a colourful charity fun run returns.

The Colour Run, a 5km race which attracted over 400 participants last year, is due to take Glan-y-Don Beach by storm again on Sunday, 21 May.

The organisers, St David’s Hospice, will host the charity event to once again to raise money for palliative care services in north-west Wales.

St David’s Hospice is a local charity caring for local people and delivering specialist care to adult patients with advanced illnesses, or those in need of end-of-life care and their families.

The charity says that every year, these issues touch the lives of over 1,000 people across Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.

Margaret Hollings, head of fundraising at St David’s Hospice, said: “We are really excited to be coming back to Pwllheli this year with the 5km charity Colour Run.

“It really is a fun run with a difference — every participant gets showered in coloured paint along the route and it is great fun. You don’t need to be an avid runner to take part — the event is open to friends, family and tots."
