St David’s Church

AS part of the Heritage Lottery and National Lottery’s ‘thank you’ campaign from 11-17 December, they are opening their church from 10am to 4pm on Thursday, 14 December.

Entry to Llanddewi Aberarth Church is always free, but on 14 December, and on presentation of a purchased Lottery ticket, entry will be confined to special visitors only: namely, Lottery ticket holders, and up to three of their accompanying friends and family.

They are pleased to offer the following free treats to the first 30 Lottery ticket holders only: free tea or coffee and biscuits and possibly Welsh cakes; a free church guide and a free postcard.

For everyone else present, these are all offered for nominal sums.

In addition, apart from exploring the church and churchyard, there will be carol singing between 1 and 1.30pm.

The church owes Lottery ticket purchasers a big ‘thank you’, since the Heritage Lottery Fund’s generous grant of £69,000 enabled works which it could not possibly have afforded.
