Bowling club

THE annual general meeting will be held in the clubhouse on Tuesday, 15 November, at 7pm.

Please note that from 11 November the phone number for the clubhouse and the recreation ground will be 07971 890002.

THE meeting was held in Neuadd Dyfi on Wednesday, 28 September.

President Elaine Foote welcomed members and visitors and introduced Jackie Windsor-Lewis as the new member

The speaker was Stephanie Windsor-Lewis who spoke about her life in the opera.

Stephanie was 14 when she began her long road to be the great mezzo soprano she is today.

She went from singing lessons whilst doing the Duke of Edinburgh Award to the Royal College of Music and four years studying in Bologna, Italy.

Among her many performances were a gala concert, which she sang with Jose Carreras, and a role as Suzuki in Madame Butterfly.

Members were shown videos of her singing before she had everyone singing opera in Italian.

Hilary Inman won the raffle and Megan Reynolds the competition.

The next meeting will be on 26 October. Everyone is welcome to attend.
