THE Aberdovey Woman’s Institute met at Neuadd Dyfi on Wednesday, 29 March.

President Elaine Foote welcomed members and visitors. Many thank-you letters had been received from the guests who had attended the club’s 90th anniversary celebrations, which had been a great success.

The speaker was Kim Williams, a member of the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust. Kim spoke about the Dyfi Osprey Project.

Visitors are welcome to visit the site, which was opened on the 25 March and will be open between 10am and 6pm seven days a week until September.

One osprey, by the name of Blue 24, has returned. The breeding pair Monty and Glesni should arrive soon following their migration to Africa. There is a ringing procedure to identify the birds and a video was shown of the chicks playing lifeless whilst been rung.

The competition was won by Bronwen Hugill-Gowers. The raffle was won by Margaret Jones and Angela Mason who was one of the visitors.The next meeting will be on Wednesday, 26 April, at 2.15pm. Visitors are always welcome.

Agape supper

AS Easter approaches, Aberdyfi Christians Together meet to mark the closing days of Lent with a Bring & Share Agape supper and communion in the Neuadd Dyfi Studio on Maundy Thursday, 13 April, at 7pm. Everyone is welcome.

English chapel

THERE will be a short meditation in the chapel on Good Friday, 14 April, at 10.30am, after which Christians from all the churches and chapels will gather in the Literary Institute for coffee and hot cross buns at 11am, before setting off in procession to the Wharf Gardens for a short service. On Easter Sunday, there will be a Family Easter Celebration for all at 11am.
