Bowling Club

FRIDAY, 11 August, saw members of the club and friends, enjoying a get together for a social evening, where the highlight of the night was a fish and chip supper.

Another successful event when all who took part agreed that a repeat performance was definitely required.

The following day, Saturday, 12 August, when the competition for the Ron Barnard Cup was held, was a good day for Pauline Owen who won, with Mick Williams runner-up.

The lady members of the club are doing well this season.

Keep up the good work ladies.

On Saturday, 19 August, the team were at home for the annual local derby with Fairbourne Bowling Club.

On this occasion Barmouth Club were the successful team.

All now depends on the return match on 2 September, when Fairbourne are the hosts.

The mixed doubles contest was held on 26 August, and the winners were Pam Payton and Meirion Roberts with runners-up Christine Palmer and Brian Williams.
