Acrobats

THE Blaenau Community Centre was the venue at the weekend as the Moelwyn Gymnastics Club hosted a fabulous International Acro Gymnastics competition.

A total of 130 acrobats from all over the UK and including the five who came all the way from Brazilian national team to take part and the event was enjoyed by the audiences on both Saturday and Sunday.

Many of the winning medals were kept in Wales with two gold medals being won by the Brazilians.

The event marked the end of one of the Moelwyn Club’s long standing and successful competition member Erin Roberts, who is retiring from the sport after 11 years at the club, having bought much success to the club and will be missed by all.
