THE speaker for January, Mrs Thomas, was ill and so members had plenty of time to catch up on all the news and to discuss the resolutions which were then collected to be passed on.

They group will join Llanuwchllyn on St David’s Day in their village hall.

The celebrations this year will be a lunch at Coleg Meirion.

Welcome to Ruth Jones, who has rejoined the group.

A happy birthday was wished to Brenda whose 97th birthday was on Saturday, 26 January.

Brenda is still an active member, comes to various activities, writes poetry, does charming votes of thanks and is an example to all.

Gwynedd Federation is 100 years old and celebrations will be ongoing throughout the year.
