Mid Wales Woodturners Club

THE club’s next meeting will be held on Sunday, 15 January at the community centre, from 11am to 5pm. The demonstrator will be Mike Painter. Mike is a woodcarver and sculptor and will be demonstrating carving letters and leaves on turned items. The members have seen pyrography and coloured paints being used to decorate turned items, now it will be a whole different beautiful ball game with carving chisels. Visitors and new members welcome.

There is library of books and DVDs and some specialist tools that can be borrowed by members, also the clubs sharpening system will be availableThe venue (at SY17 5LH) has full disabled facilities and ample free parking. Locally-made refreshments are on sale and free tea and coffee are available. The cost to members is £9, members’ guests £10 and other non-members £15.
