GARY chaired the November meeting and the minutes of the previous meeting were read and agreed and will be published on the website in due course.
Chris stated that the last meeting had been reported in the Cambrian News and an article on the relaunch of film nights was in Grapevine.
Sally distributed copies of the audited accounts for 2017 for members to consider before the December meeting.
Chris had now submitted the annual return to the Charity Commission and Sally reported that the electricity supplier is now Utilities Warehouse, as agreed at the last meeting.
There are still some outstanding maintenance jobs to be completed and a cleaner has been found to replace Simon when he leaves at the end of November.
Hall bookings are steady but unfortunately the quilters will no longer be using the hall due to low numbers and Karen’s November and December yoga workshops have been cancelled.
Chris will email the updated terms and conditions of hire to committee members for their comments before issuing them to all hall users in the new year.
It was decided not to hold film nights in January. The last showing until February will be on 7 December. Films for next year will be discussed at the December meeting. Work on the lighting system still needs to be completed.
The committee is looking into the possibility of offering the hall for conferences/training sessions.
Ken Price was thanked for creating a replacement head for the toy horse in the children’s play area.
The next meeting will be on Thursday, 6 December at 7.30pm.
