Gardening club

THE last meeting, held in the Church Hall on Monday, 14 January, provided members with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of gardens and the many varieties of flora and fauna contained within.

The president, Guy Lloyd, had devised an entertaining quiz, covering trees, flowers, vegetables and fruits from many corners of the globe.

Several teams, each consisting of five or six members, became very competitive.

It was an evening enjoyed by all present and surely will become a regular fixture in future annual programmes.

They thanked Guy for all the research needed in compiling the questions.

The spring show will be held in the village hall on Friday, 22 March, between 2pm and 4pm.

A warm welcome is extended to visitors and there will be no charge for admission.

The next meeting will be held in the church hall on 11 February, when the award-winning wildlife photographer, Alan Price, will pay a visit.
