THE chairperson welcomed the local constabulary to the meeting and it was reported that there were three incidents in the past month. They were also able to assist with the community protection for local business scheme.
The clerk had received a response from the King George V Playing Field Trust regarding the use of a strip of land for the proposed widening of the road to the swimming pool.
It explained that the field in trust was of charity status and the proposal was totally opposite to the purpose of the charity set up in memory of King George V.
However, it could be possible if an area of land of similar size could be found to replace the strip of land lost. This would have to be with the total agreement of the field in trust.
The information would be passed onto the relevant parties for further action.
