CLLR Judith Strevens gave a brief report on the Christmas Late-Night Opening Evening.
It was a very successful evening and a lot of money was raised. The hospice shop won the window decoration competition.
A free disco was organised for children on the 22 December in the memorial hall, however, the turnout was disappointing and therefore it was decided this event would not be organised again.
The Christmas lights committee meeting will be held very soon to discuss this year's event. Contact Cllr Strevens for information on how to help.
A letter was received from Gwynedd Council with regard to the council’s precept. Because the council have to give a large amount of money out of the precept to Harlech Ardudwy Leisure Centre to keep the place open and also because councillors have agreed to go into partnership with Gwynedd Council to keep the public toilets open, it was decided to raise the precept from £17,000 to £18,500.
A letter was received from the organisers of the Gregynog Festival stating they are planning on having the last weekend of the festival this year from 28 June to the 2 July. They also asked for some financial support.
