Remembrance Sunday
AT the end of the short service at the village War Memorial, on what was a Remembrance Sunday, which was not only showery, but also notably cold and breezy; attendees were invited back to the Church Hall where members of the church’s Hospitality Committee provided much-welcomed coffee, tea and biscuits.
Well over 50 people took up the offer, and really appreciated the opportunity to sit and chat in the warm for a while.
Partial Closure of the Church
St Padarn’s has been for a number of years one of the local churches and Chapels in the Local Heritage Churches trail and has willingly continued its policy of the door being open all day to visitors seven days a week.
Many people have taken the opportunity this policy presented, of going into church and simply sitting a while.
Of late, unfortunately, there has been some petty vandalism which has become unacceptable and the Police have been brought in.
Regrettably, for the near future, there will be times when the door of the church has to be locked, until a way of providing access, can be found.
