The October speaker was David Poole, a retired police dog handler. David spoke about his service in the police force working with German Shepherds, training and looking after them in his home.

He showed photographs of all the dogs he had worked with. The time just seemed to fly when David was telling us all his stories, and we could have listened for a lot longer.

Some of our ladies had a Pamper day in Plas Talgarth, which they enjoyed very much and returned home totally invigorated

We were very pleased to receive the Betty Seaton Rose Bowl, for coming first in the Press Report Competition plus photos, in the meeting in Aberaeron.

It was with great sadness that members heard of the death of Gladys James, a lifelong member of the WI.
