Guide dog walk
DUE to storm Hannah, the walk, in aid of Guide Dogs, planned for 27 April had to be cancelled at the last minute.
President of Llanidloes Rotary Club John Selwyn Smith said: “We took the decision to cancel the event on health and safety grounds. Having inspected the route there was too much debris and flooding following the storm to make it safe for walkers and dogs.
“We are sorry that we had to take this decision which was not done lightly. We are planning to reschedule the event for later this year so that we can continue to raise funds for this great charity. “We will be advertising the new date on posters, in the press and on social media as soon as a date is agreed.
“We hope that those people who have raised sponsorship for the walk will be able to hang onto the sponsorship monies until the new walk date.”
