Hallowe’en fundraising

LLANIDLOES and surrounding areas came out in force to support three charities close to their hearts. X-Angelus Studios celebrated the first year in their new premises with a spooky Hallowe’en fundraiser.

Supporters of the event were able to purchase specially designed tattoos with all proceeds going to Montgomeryshire Family Crisis Centre and Llanidloes Hospital Palliative Care Unit Appeal.

An amazing total of £1,600 was split between the two charities and a raffle for Noah’s ark also raised an additional £150.

Jason Jones of X-Angelus Studio said: “Thank you so much to all the amazing people who came to support us and raise an amazing total of money for these great causes.”

Football

DUE to the Wales v Serbia match, the fixture between Llanidloes and Montgomery Town now takes place on Friday, 11 November, 7.30pm.

Neighbourhood policing

THE local neighbourhood policing team will hold a police surgery at Llanidloes Police Station the first Friday of every month, 4pm-5pm to discuss local issues you may have.

Bingo

AT the rugby club on Wednesday, 9 November, 7.30pm, in aid of Llanidloes Scouts - 50p entry for adults includes tea/coffee and a biscuit.

Twinning Association

AN event to celebrate the successful visit of a group from Derval to Llanidloes in July will be held at the rugby club on Thursday, 17 November, 7.30pm.

Anyone interested in town twinning is welcome to attend the social event and the AGM.

At the event, the bar will be open, there will be light refreshments, a raffle of French food and photographs of the visit will be shown.

It will also be a chance to chat to the hosts and the committee as well as others who helped with the visitors.
