Rotary Rally Raffle

Llanidloes Rotary Club has been given four premier World Rally passes as a thank you for their continued support in marshalling the annual event.

The club has decided to raffle the passes, allowing members of the local community a chance to watch this year’s Wales Rally GB for free.

Each premier four-day World Rally pass provides access to all stages of the rally, including Thursday’s pre-event shakedown and Saturday’s RallyFest stage at Cholmondeley Castle.

The pass offers dedicated on-site parking at Deeside Rally Village (subject to availability), free parking at Tir Prince on Thursday evening and free overnight parking in the stage car parks. It also includes a free copy of the official programme which normally costs £9.

Raffle tickets are available from Woosnam and Davies Newsagents, with all proceeds going towards Rotary Good Causes. The raffle will be drawn on Wednesday, 18 October, in the Red Lion Hotel prior to the rally.

Llanidloes Rotary Club members marshal the Hafren Forest stage of this event and are looking for volunteers to help during the night of 26 October, and Friday, 27 October. All volunteers would marshal for six hours and are free to watch the rally once their shift is complete. In addition to this the Rotary Club thank all volunteers in January at their thank you evening, treating everyone to a meal and entertainment.

Llanidloes and District Gardening Club

THE club is holding its annual members’ flowers and vegetable show at Llanidloes Community Centre on Saturday, 26 August, from 2pm to 4pm. Everyone is welcome, there will be refreshments and a raffle.
