MONDAY, 3 September, was the first meeting after the summer holidays.
There was a good attendance, with only a few apologies.
Delyth, the president, welcomed everyone and said she hoped they had enjoyed the sunshine. The minutes were read, approved and signed.
The monthly letter was then read and discussed before Delyth introduced Eirlys Lloyd, the guest speaker, who spoke about her work with the Samaritans.
She said that people can contact the Samaritans by phone, text or email. They are open 24 hours a day, all year and receive ten calls every six minutes in the UK.
Members agreed it was a very interesting talk and Eirlys was thanked by Maureen Howells.
The competition was for the prettiest egg cup. First prize went to Delyth Jenkins, second to Davina Evans and third to Maureen Witt.
The afternoon came to an end with a cup of tea and biscuits.
