Council Meeting

MACHYNLLETH Town Council is holding its next ordinary monthly meeting at Plas Machynlleth on Monday, 27 November, at 6.30pm.

Formal notice of the meeting will be placed on the council’s notice boards near the town library and in the Plas foyer. Public and press are welcome to attend.

Ecodyfi

ECODYFI (Dyfi Eco Valley Partnership) is holding its AGM and Forum 2017 at the Machynlleth Bowling Club on Tuesday, 28 November, at 7.30pm, with simultaneous translation facilities from Welsh to English available.

Registration and light refreshments available from 7pm.

Edible Mach Maethlon

THE group held their latest sociable free-of-charge events at the Machynlleth Bowling Club on 9/10 November.

On Thursday 9, attendees enjoyed an evening’s cooking workshop with Shirley Bose and, following this successful event, all present learnt the art of cooking a new dish, Vegan Cheese Cake, on Friday 10.

Bowls

MACHYNLLETH twosome Mid Wales County bowler Eileen Jones and Welsh international Andrew Fleming became Montgomeryshire County Bowling Association Mixed Pairs champions for the fourth time when they overpowered T Gough and C Price of Welshpool by 27-15.

In the semi-finals, the Mach duo held their nerve to beat another Welshpool pair, C Bloom and D Bloom, with a hard-fought 22-19 victory. Gough and Price had earlier beaten Aberdyfi’s Sue Mount and Richie Williams in the other semi-final.
