Music Club
MACHYNLLETH Music Club welcomes Gitarrissima of Vienna, an award-winning and unique ensemble of five guitarists from across Europe, to the Tabernacle (MOMA) on Friday, 16 February, at 7.30pm. All welcome.

Their unusual line-up has been enchanting international audiences and breaking new ground in the genre of classical guitar music with their refreshingly original sound, characterised by a wealth of musical colour and virtuoso playing.
Their programme, ‘Songs for Valentine’, includes arrangements from Gershwin, Bizet, Prokofiev and Khachaturian.
Dementia Friendly
CYFEILLION Dementia Dyffryn Dyfi/Dementia friendly Dyfi Valley is sending a warm welcome to all and their carers to join them for song, a cuppa, cake and company on the fourth Thursday of every month re-commencing on 22 February in Machynlleth Day Hospital at 10am.

Mach Maethlon
THE group’s fortnightly free cooking club sessions started up again on 8 February, making a vegan gluten-free chocolate truffle cake made with tofu.
The session, which was held at the local bowling club, was led by Pete from The Green Goat café.
On Friday, 23 February, the bowling club will host the group’s Clwb Coginio with Mikhael Sverdlov on hand at 11.30am.
Council meeting
MACHYNLLETH Town Council holds its next ordinary monthly meeting at Plas Machynlleth on Monday, 26 February at 6.30pm.
Formal notice of the meeting will be affixed to the council’s notice boards in front of the town library and in the Plas foyer.
The public and press are welcome to attend.

DOVEY and Foresters B pulled away from their closest challengers, Slaters, as the Dyfi Valley Dominoes League entered its final quarter, with three games to play, after round 11 of 14.

Panto
THE New Dyfi Players present their 37th panto production, ‘The Three Musketeers’.
Mach Panto will be held at Ysgol Bro Hyddgen - High school campus during February half term week. Performances are on Thursday 15, Friday 16 and two on Saturday 17.
The Saturday Matinee starts at 2pm and all three evening performances start at 7pm. Tickets are on sale now at Miscellannea, Machynlleth and Dyfi Wholefoods.
WI
ON Wednesday, 21 February, at 7pm at St Peter’s Church, the WI will be hosting a talk by Dilys Williams on the Suffragette movement marking 100 years since women first gained the right to vote.
