Ladies Club

SANDY, one of the 25 boat and shore crew of the Porthdinllaen lifeboat, gave an enlightening and entertaining talk.

She is one of five female crew members on the John D Spicer, one of whom is a fully trained coxswain.

She spoke about the tough training all lifeboat crew go through at Poole College, and that a lot more females are becoming crew members around the UK. Sandy explained the different pieces of her kit which one of the members volunteered to put on. Her enthusiasm for being part of the crew really shone through.

Norma will collect meal choices and payment for 8 March at the meeting on 22 February.
