Camera Club

ON Thursday evening, the Camera Club met at the ‘Hungry Trout Restaurant’ for the Christmas meal and annual Print Trophy competi-tion. There was an ‘Open’ theme to the competition, to be judged by invited guest judges, Jan Cawley, a past president of the Welsh Photo-graphic Federation, and Ed Clout-man, both brilliant photographers, and highly respected judges. During the course of an excellent meal, the submitted images were openly scrutinised, and later, the judges selected the three images, which they considered the best. Sue McDermid and Kathy Fordman, were worthy runners up to Mike Jones, who was awarded the trophy for 2016, on an excellent evening, enjoyed by all.Next meeting will be an additional evening, on 8 December, with guest speaker, Bruce Cardwell, from Borth, with his presentation ‘Enjoying Photography’. A fun night is guaranteed. The final meeting of the year, on 15 December, will be ’Painting With Light’ indoors or outside, depending on the weather, which proved to be a very popular and successful event, last year.New members are always very welcome.
