THE latest community news from New Quay

Camera Club

THURSDAY evening’s meeting was an impromptu photoshoot, in the vicinity of the Memorial Hall, with three themes, football, red and rust.

On return to the Memorial Hall, the images were projected, and discussed by all of the members, as to how they might be lifted to a competition standard, with some interesting perceptions.

The next meeting is a proposed photoshoot at the Celtic Lakes, on the Lampeter road, out of Aberaeron. Details will be confirmed later.

New members are always welcome to join.

Heritage Centre

NEW Quay Heritage Centre and Museum situated under the Harbour Master’s Office is open every day in August 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

The centre has a wealth of information on New Quay’s past, pictorial and objects.

It is supported by New Quay Town Council and Ceredigion Museum and is run by volunteers. More volunteers are needed to keep the museum open on a daily basis.
