Town Council request

DO YOU have any issues or concerns in New Quay which you would like New Quay Town Council to address?

At Monday’s meeting, this is the question that NQTC decided to put to the community.

The council will then be arranging a public meeting to discuss the issues raised by residents.

Comments can be submitted by e-mail to the town clerk, Dana Jones, [email protected] or New Quay mayor and county councillor [email protected] or comments can be submitted by hand to Sheffield House.

Camera Club

Thursday evening saw five members of New Quay Camera Club, making the journey to St Florence, to join seven west Wales camera clubs, at the St Florence Village Hall, for their inaugural, Printed Digital Image battle.

The evening was hosted by the Tenby and District Camera Club, with invited guest judge Peter Young, to preside over the event, and to judge, and critique some 80 excellent images.

New Quay held it’s own, in a close run competition.

The overall winner being Tenby, by the narrowest margins, across all the clubs.

A wonderful evening, thanks to the excellent hosts.

Next meeting, on Thursday, 5 October, in the Memorial Hall at 7.30pm, will be an in-house competition, entitled, ‘Art In Nature’ with guest judge, Ian Ledgard, from the Towy Valley Camera Club.

New members, regardless of ability, are always very welcome.
