IN September the group welcomed Sarah Rochira, the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales, who gave a very interesting talk on her work and what older people can expect from Wales.

On Wednesday, 5 October, we will be welcoming John Wigley, who will be talking about his life as a bee-keeper.

Meetings usually take place on the first Wednesday of the month at 10.30am for 11am at the community hall and usually finish at about 12.15pm.

Our activity group recently enjoyed a fabulous evening at Llanelly House for a Georgian Murder Mystery.

There was a three-course dinner included in the evening, which saw characters unfold a mystery which we had to solve.

The U3A is for retired and semi-retired people who want to live, laugh and learn together.

Various groups meet during the month, including astronomy, strolling, craft, family history, games, wine appreciation and luncheon club.

The subscription for 2016-2017 is £14, but the first meeting is free.
