THE Community Hub has had a successful couple of weeks hosting many activities from organisations locally.

The Welsh Hearts day raised £150. Residents from Hafan y Waun were amongst over 100 attendees and a fantastic day was had by all!

Members of the Penparcau Youth had a skills session involving video, photography and website input to help make a promo clip for Penparcau Youth recently. If you are on Facebook head over to the Penparcau Community Forum page to be kept up -to-date on all events. Alternatively, call in for a chat anytime.

There are many events taking place this week in the Hub that you won’t want to miss! As always, everyone is welcome.

Wednesday, 17 April: Drop-in session from 11am to 3pm followed by the walking group meeting at 6.30pm.

Later in the day will be the second Men’s Shed Meeting taking place from 7pm to 8.30pm. This session is perfect for anyone retired, semi-retired or just looking for some new friends. The hub has teamed up with Men’s Shed Cymru, and if you like the idea of doing or making things and kicking off some fantastic community projects go along or call in for a chat.

There will be a fashion show for Penparcau Community Forum and Hafan y Waun, 3 May, 7pm until late. Children free and adults are £8, to include a glass of prosecco and canape on entrance. This is for a local cause and great night to be had by all, get your tickets from the hub now.

The hub will be hosting its annual carnival disco on 12 May. Children will have the chance to be crowned Queen or a prestigious attendee aboard the beautiful Penparcau Carnival float – an opportunity not to be missed!

On 1 June Polish Heritage Day will take place. Last year, the event was hugely successful - more details will follow soon.
