THE July meeting’s speaker was Paul Rawlinson of the Bangor Street Pastors, volunteers helping young people and others on the streets of Bangor late on Friday and Saturday nights.

There are about 14,000 of them countrywide, 22 in the Bangor area, who go out in groups of four, and work closely with local authorities, churches and the police.

The president, Daphne Jones, thanked the speaker for a very interesting and descriptive talk.

The tea hostesses were Eryl Hobley and Olwen Davies. The raffle, donated by Betty Coles, was won by Helen Owen.

There will be no meeting in August, so the next meeting will be on 3 September, at the usual time and venue.

New members always welcome.
