Taliesin WI members enjoyed two very social events this month.

The first one was within the local public house, The Wild Fowler, where they enjoyed good food followed by a game of dominoes.

A most pleasurable time was had by all.

The second venture was the coach trip to the International Eisteddfod in Llangollen, which brought together WI members, Machynlleth U3A ladies and many from within the local communities.

The Parade of Nations was full of colour and enthusiasm, and the skills and music of the many participating nations was rousing.

Later they enjoyed their evening meal at The Eagles Inn, Llanuwchllyn.

Members relished a surprise raffle and thanks were given to Liz for her excellent arrangements and to Kath in appreciation for all the work involved in putting this very enjoyable day’s outing together.

On Tuesday, 7 August, at 7pm members will gather together for a social evening and the special guest will be Dinah Gibbons who will present a talk about paper weights, a speciality of hers.
